2022 Leadership Journey Project: Access to Tech for Breast Cancer Screening and Diagnosis in Emerging Markets
Monique Mrazek is a Senior Global Health Tech Industry Specialist at the World Bank Group/ International Finance Corporation (IFC), within the Disruptive Technologies, Venture Capital and Funds team. Monique’s expertise has been instrumental in leading IFC to build a growing investment portfolio of earlier stage health tech companies that deliver innovative technologies or business models with high development impact potential in emerging markets.
Through her role, Monique is also involved in various initiatives aimed at leveraging technology to support improvements in global health. In addition, she has extensive experience in corporate finance and private equity focused on health care and life sciences and has worked globally including in Asia, Latin America, Middle East, Western and Eastern Europe, and Africa. Monique is IFC’s nominee director on the board of Sala Uno and Clinicas del Azucar both in Mexico. She is also a Visiting Senior Fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Monique holds a PhD from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
