Prudence possesses over 19 years of experience in leadership and project management with experience in leading large, diverse teams on complex, multi-million dollar, and multi-partner funded programs of different disciplines.
She is the Country Director of CARE Tanzania, providing the overall leadership of the Country’s portfolio and overseeing the CARE Strategic Mission and Vision in addressing poverty through social justice. Previously she served as the Country Representative for EngenderHealth.
Prudence holds a BSc. Home Economics and Human Nutrition (University of Sokoine, Tanzania); a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health in Developing Countries (PDPH) and a Master of Science in Public Health in Developing Countries. Prudence is a recipient of several prestigious fellowships, including the International Ford Foundation Fellowship for Social Change, the Kofi Annan Fellowship for the Global Health Leadership Programme, and several women’s leadership awards.
