As a passionate and independent woman with a career spanning almost 15 years, Anupama has dedicated herself to bringing underprivileged children, pregnant women and adolescents to the fore in the development sector. Both professionally and through her education, she has made consolidated efforts to understand and make impactful decisions in public health. Pursuing a postgraduate degree in public health and nutrition from PHFI, Delhi and District Health Management from IGNOU, provided theoretical depth for her as an individual. Undertaking extensive empirical studies at the grass-root level in Bihar strengthened her nuanced understanding of the system. Along with this, a doctorate degree in stress management has enabled her to lead with compassion and empathy.
