2023 Leadership Journey Project: Empowering Women and Girls Towards Pandemic Preparedness
Born in a small village to proud parents, who instilled the value of education as a mode of helping society with a better health, made Brunda what she is today. After obtaining a postdoctoral training at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and National Cancer Institute-National Institute of Health, USA in the area of vaccines, she joined Bharat Biotech International limited, Hyderabad where she got an immense opportunity to serve the society, by being instrumental in developing COVAXIN®, iNCOVACC and other such COVID-19 vaccines as a part of the core team. Millions of people have received COVAXIN® (India’s first Indigenous vaccine), in India which has saved lives against the severity of COVID-19 pandemic.
