2023 Leadership Journey Project: Factors affecting menstrual health for nurses and midwives at workplaces in Uganda
Justine is a nurse and a public health practitioner with 15 years experience in implementation research, clinical trials and clinical research design, implementation, coordination, and dissemination of results. She has experience in capacity building, mentorship, and policy advocacy.
She is currently working with PATH as a research Coordinator- Overseeing implementation of research. She previously worked with Baylor College of Children’s foundation Uganda as a Clinical Trails Manager where she oversaw the implementation of clinical trials in the institution. She has worked with the Joint Clinical Research Center as a quality assurance officer and at Masaka comprehensive school of Nursing as Tutor and as an intern Nurse/Midwife.
Justine holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Master of Public Health, and a Postgraduate diploma in project planning and Management. She has published 4 peer reviewed journal articles, 15 conference abstracts, 4 posters and made different presentations at health conferences
Fun Facts: She is a mixture of an introvert (dominant) and extrovert depending on circumstance, likes interactive learning through peers, She describes herself as a visual learner,. In her free time she likes watching nature like wild animals, water bodies and hills/mountains or tropical vegetation.
