Chelsea Harris is a passionate advocate for equitable access to health commodities and innovations in low- and middle-income countries. She has over 10 years of experience in global health, with a focus on infectious diseases and health system strengthening. Chelsea pivoted from the public sector into industry five years ago to help drive sustainable private sector engagement in global health, which she believes is critical to the development of market-appropriate solutions and long-term access as the donor landscape and disease burden evolves. Most recently, she developed the strategic marketing plan for Cepheid’s public sector business in Africa, LATAM, and APAC as the Marketing Director for Public Health and Global Access Programs. Prior to that, she led the team at Gilead Sciences responsible for market and competitive insights for the company’s HIV and COVID-19 franchises. She also worked at the Clinton Health Access Initiative in Haiti and at Global Health Strategies, consulting for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Planned Parenthood Global, among others. Chelsea holds a BA from Brown University and an MBA/MPH from the University of California, Berkeley.
