Joan Muasa is a Senior Director at the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) and is responsible for institutional donor management, resource mobilization, and steering program reviews. She specializes in developing innovative funding models and diversifying donor revenue, ensuring the sustainability and growth of CHAI’s programs. Joan’s passion lies in organizational development, strategy, and efficient, evidence-based program delivery.
With a decade of experience in public funding, multilateral organizations, philanthropy, and impact investment, Joan has cultivated a vast donor network and facilitated strategic partnerships globally, including in the US, UK, Latin America, Africa, and Asia. Previously, she was a senior finance and operations director at Oxfam, overseeing strategic planning and programming in 80 countries.
Joan holds an MBA and a bachelor’s in economics from the University of Nairobi, is a certified accountant, and has completed executive programs at Oxford and MIT. She’s currently pursuing a master’s in digital assets and blockchain technologies.
