Amrita works as the Development Assistance Specialist (Senior Health Lead), as part of the Health Office at USAID/India, based out of the U.S Consulate in Hyderabad. Before moving to Hyderabad, she worked as a Project Management Specialist as part of the Health Office at the USAID/India Mission in New Delhi. She is part of the TB Team at the Health Office and lead community engagement & TB, including cross cutting themes of DIEA including gender and social inclusion & stigma reduction in TB programs. Prior to joining the Health Office, She was working at the Office of Social Sector Initiatives (OSSI), supporting the education portfolio, which focuses on early grade reading. Before joining USAID, she worked as a Project Manager for Early Childhood Care and Development for Save the Children India. Amrita also worked for the Child Fund International as a Technical Specialist for Child Development and as a Learning and Impact Coordinator with Save the Children, UK as part of the Tsunami Rehabilitation Program. Amrita has completed her Post Graduation in Social Work and a Post Graduate Diploma in Child Rights and Law.
