Passionate about occupational health and climate change, I am an occupational hygienist and climate change scientist. With a Ph.D. in Environmental Chemistry from NEERI and post-doctoral research in Australia, I’ve honed expertise in understanding the links between “”Heat, workload, and occupational health.”” As a former Research Scientist at Johnson & Johnson, Canada, and Chair of the Health and Safety committee, I dedicated nine years to advancing occupational health standards. Currently, I serve as Country Director for the NIHR-SRIHER Global Healthcare Research Centre, leading efforts to improve the health of marginalized populations worldwide. My commitment to advocating for the well-being of marginalized groups, especially female workers in developing nations, drives both my research and mentorship initiatives. I believe in empowering individuals and communities to ensure equitable access to occupational health for all.
