Elizabeth Kohlway, Director, Global Community Engagement & Applied Learning, Sabin Vaccine Institute

Elizabeth (Liz) Kohlway is the Director, Global Community Engagement & Applied Learning at Sabin Vaccine Institute. She has overseen the online platform, boostcommunity.org, for a global community of immunization professionals since its launch in 2020, which has grown to nearly 5,000 members from over 150 countries. Currently, she leads member engagement for the online platform, including executing multiple virtual trainings on the ‘softer’ skills of immunization—adaptive leadership and community organizing—as well as more technical topics, such as strengthening immunization programs post-pandemic. Prior to Sabin, Liz managed external affairs for Global Health Council—a global health advocacy and membership organization. She is passionate about bringing local actors and voices working at the sub-national level to a global stage. Liz has a master’s degree in public health from the George Washington University’s Milken Institute School of Public Health specializing in global health and health communications.
