Dominique LaRochelle has been working as a gender equality expert for more than 15 years in advisory and strategic roles with international non-governmental organizations and the United Nations. Dominique currently serves as the Director, Gender Equality Strategy at Save the Children Canada (SCC), where she leads the organization’s Gender Equality strategic priority. In her previous role as Head of Gender Equality and Program Impact at SCC, Dominique provided strategic and technical leadership on program quality and impact, including in global health programming. Prior to joining SCC, Dominique has worked as a Gender Advisor for Oxfam in Vietnam and Cambodia and has held gender equality focused roles with UNESCO and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific. Dominique holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in political science with a focus on international relations and development. She also holds an International Program Certificate from Sciences Po Paris and a Certificate in Leadership Essentials from the University of Toronto.
