Juliana da Silva leads the Viral Suppression and ARV Outcomes Team at the U.S. Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention. In that role, she provides strategic direction to national programs supported by the United States Presidential Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR in the subject areas of HIV Antiretroviral Optimization, Viral Load testing, Adherence Interventions and HIV Drug Resistance. Juliana is an Infectious Diseases physician specialized in Tropical Medicine and public health, a practicing clinician and epidemiologist, with expertise in health systems, disease surveillance, outbreak investigations, and the design and implementation of cohort and case-control studies. As a health diplomat, Juliana establishes successful collaborations with government and non-government partners in resource-limited settings, provide high level international technical assistance and lead research projects in multicultural environments.
