Dr. Mabel Carabali is a social and infectious diseases epidemiologist, currently an Assistant Professor of epidemiology at the School of Population and Global Health at McGill University. Her current research focuses on assessing the effect of underreporting and misclassification of different biomedical and socioeconomic exposures in several health outcomes; and the expansion of statistical methods for the study and understanding of intersectionality. Dr. Carabali obtained her medical degree from the Universidad Libre in Colombia and her PhD in epidemiology from McGill University. She did her postdoctoral training at the Social Epidemiology Lab at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto. Dr. Carabali works in Global Health include research on communicable diseases and inequalities in Latin America, West Africa and South-East-Asia.
