Dr. Mehr Manzoor is the Principal Strategist for the Women’s Employment Portfolio at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the Office of the Chief Officer for Scientific Workforce Diversity. Her award-winning doctoral research at Tulane University examined gender inequality regimes within global health organizations, focusing on how global health leaders can move from intention to meaningful action, earning her the Delta Omega Society’s Best Dissertation Award. Mehr has received numerous accolades for her work on women’s leadership in global health, including Tulane University’s Changemaker Catalyst Awards. As the founder of BeyondParity, she leads gender-transformative leadership programs. She also served as a consultant with EnCompass LLC, where she facilitated Respectful, Inclusive, and Safe Environment (RISE) trainings for USAID staff globally. Mehr’s expertise is further highlighted in her role as the lead author of the WHO report, “Delivered by Women, Led by Men,” and co-editor of the book, Women in Global Health Leadership: Power & Transformation. She holds a PhD in Health Policy and Management from Tulane University, supported by a Fulbright Scholarship, an MBA from Lahore University of Management Sciences, and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, Pakistan.
