Dr. Pooja Yerramilli is a Health Specialist at the World Bank, a Clinical Assistant Professor in Medicine at George Washington University, and Johns Hopkins Center for Humanitarian Health Affiliate. At the World Bank, she has developed and led a new global agenda on human resources for health (HRH), and had a regional focus on West & Central Africa. She has 10+ years of experience combined across international development, global health policy and care delivery. Her technical areas of focus have spanned service delivery, health financing, global health security, health workforce, non-communicable diseases and social determinants of health.

Pooja completed her BA (Political Science) at Yale University; MSc (Health Policy, Planning and Financing) at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and London School of Economics; MD at University of Pennsylvania; and Internal Medicine/Global Medicine residency/fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and a Council on Foreign Relations Term Member.
