Dr. Bupe Musonda is a Medical Doctor with over 15 years working experience at subnational, national and now, implementing partner level.
Dr. Bupa is a Paediatrician, focusing on Paediatric and Adolescent HIV, with expertise in sexual violence against children and HIV Prevention. She has been affiliated with a few Ministries of Health publications, where significant contributions to Public Health, particularly in the realm of HIV prevention, have been made.
Her work addresses critical health issues affecting vulnerable populations in Zambia, including children, adolescent girls, young women, incarcerated individuals, and persons with disorders of sexual differentiation (intersex persons).
She is actively involved in the fight against sexual violence against children and young people by helping establish multidisciplinary teams of GBV management at subnational level, developing guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Her passion and dedication to advancing health equity and access for the wellness of children and adolescents drives her to influence innovative strategies in paediatric and adolescent HIV spaces. She is currently the Head of Paediatrics on the PROUD-Z project at CIDRZ.
