Position Summary:
The Program Manager will be a part of the Cross-regional Leadership Development (LDCR) team and will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation and management of leadership development programs at WomenLift Health. Reporting to the Leadership Development Director, this position will involve working closely with cross-regional and regional teams to ensure consistent and high-quality program delivery across different regions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management and a passion for advancing women’s leadership. Working closely with the cross-regional Senior Program Manager, this role will primarily take on the responsibility of managing tasks and activities related to the implementation and scale-up of WomenLift Health Leadership Development modalities for mid-career women leaders in public and global health across all regional hubs. These modalities include 12-month long Leadership Journeys, shorter in-person residencies, and workshops (i.e. PowerUp series). Additionally, the Program Manager will play a key role in building the capacity of regional team members and facilitating the exchange of learnings across different regions.
This position requires strong project management and implementation skills, emotional and cultural intelligence, and excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively with diverse teams across different time zones. The Program Manager should be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, work independently and collaboratively, someone who pays close attention to detail, and takes initiative. They should deeply value WomenLift’s mission and cherish human connection and relationship building both within the internal team and with external partners. They should have an eye to constant improvement and streamlining of systems and processes. Key Responsibilities:
Program Implementation and Support (30%)
- Collaborate with regional Leadership Development teams to ensure they have the resources and structures needed to effectively implement their Leadership Journey(s).
- Provide implementation support to new regional hubs, especially during their initial setup and in achieving key milestones, with the goal of gradually transitioning toward regionally led program implementation. Key milestones include supporting various activities from application and selection to engaging in two in-person residencies and ultimately transitioning to our alumnae community.
- Contribute to ideation and document learning for hubs to implement multiple Leadership Development modalities including several year-long Leadership Journeys (Types: Signature, theme based, institution focused).
Cross-Regional Implementation and Knowledge Management (30%)
- Coordinate the onboarding of new programs staff in each regional hub and maintain/update related materials.
- Support the updating of cross-regional systems and processes including Journey management Smartsheet, organization wide Leadership Development Guide (best practices and templates), contextualization mapping, and other forms of learning documentation.
- Enhance and maintain systems, platforms, and processes for cross-regional learning and sharing to ensure ideas, feedback, best practices, and key information are effectively documented and exchanged across all hubs to ensure consistency in program quality and design evolution.
- Support the creation of written and visual communication products including PowerPoints and reports.
Relationship Management (internal and external) (20%)
- In close collaboration with the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL), help to expand the network of local facilitators and coaches to ensure sustainable program growth and regional ownership.
- In close collaboration with TechChange, ensure the sustainable evolution of our Learning Management System and manage the capacity building of tech producers for cross-hub implementation support.
- Support the alumnae program lead in coordinating cross-regional activities and events.
- Support the Instructional Design lead in coordinating cross-regional content development efforts, facilitation, and learning and sharing platforms.
Communications and Monitoring (10%)
- Support design and implementation of cross-regional systems and processes for longitudinal tracking of women leaders, their leadership projects, and their work at –large.
- Collaborate with the communications team to create and refine WomenLift wide Leadership Development materials.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, education, international development, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Minimum of 7-9 years of experience in project or program management, preferably within the nonprofit sector
- Proven track record of implementing successful leadership development programs.
- Experience working in international contexts and with diverse cultural groups.
- Experience working in public health, gender equality, leadership development, or related field preferred.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities (Required):

WomenLift is seeking a Senior Manager, Leadership Impact,based in East Africa to work under the direction of the Alumnae Program Lead, Cross-Regional and as a member of their East Africa team to contribute to the design and implementation of both a regional and global Alumnae Community strategy. The Senior Manager, Leadership Impact should be proficient at synthesizing and organizing information. They should possess strong end-to-end event (in-person and virtual) design, implementation, and communication skills. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The WomenLift’s global Alumnae Community is growing rapidly. In 2024, it includes 229 women and 60 of those are based in East Africa, growing to 420 in 2025 and over 1000 by 2027. The Senior Manager, Leadership Impact will work under the direction of the Alumnae Program Lead, Cross-Regional and closely with the East Africa Director and alumnae managers in other regions to design and implement an annual set of virtual and in-person offerings. They will also liaise closely with East Africa alumnae to reimagine the future for this community nationally/regionally and globally. The responsibilities include:
- Develop a regional alumnae strategy and workplan that aligns with and contributes to the cross-regional alumnae strategy.
- Engage hub alumnae to provide input on WomenLift Health’s strategy including the alumnae strategy, engagement with health institutions and contributing to societal change.
- Collaborate with colleagues to seamlessly transition women from the Leadership Journey to join the alumnae community including facilitating in-person sessions during the LiftOff event.
- Build relationships with alumnae and track the progress, opportunities and challenges of the alumnae. Support activities to collect the stories of alumnae.
- Provide support to the alumnae to sustain progress on the implementation of their Leadership Projects by sharing their expertise and exploring continued access to WomenLift’s network and resources during weekly office hours.
- Working with colleagues within the Hub and across regions, co-design and implement a minimum of 4 regional alumnae events per year and 2 cross-regional events, with a mix of in-person and virtual opportunities.
- Encourage alumnae to engage with their sisters within and across regions; Collaborate closely with Alumnae Lead (cross-regional) and managers in other regions to foster and strengthen these relationships.
- Work with the regional and functional communications team to raise the visibility of alumnae including but not limited to the amplification of their publications and speaking engagements and highlighting their professional advancement in the quarterly alumnae newsletter.
- Support the creation, moderation, and engagement of one or more cross-regional Communities of Practice on the WomenLift Health WhatsApp Community.
- Identify and engage with internal and external partners for alumnae events.
- Under the supervision of the East Africa Director prioritize, manage, and disperse the annual alumnae budget for the hub, working with operational staff to manage contracts with local partners and vendors for events. Work in collaboration with the cross-regional Alumnae Lead to determine the use of the cross-regional alumnae budget.

WomenLift is seeking a Senior Manager, Leadership Impact based in North America to work under the direction of the Alumnae Program Lead, Cross-Regional and as a member of their North America team to contribute to the design and implementation of both a regional and global Alumnae Community strategy. Their focus will be on serving the contextualized needs of women leaders based in North America and connecting these women into a powerful global community with close ties to women leaders around the world.
The Senior Manager, Leadership Impact – North America,will require strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage projects and people effectively. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The WomenLift’s global Alumnae Community is growing rapidly. In 2024, it includes 229 women and 109 of those are based in North America, growing to 420 in 2025 and over 1000 by 2027. The Senior Manager, Leadership Impact – North America will work under the direction of the Alumnae Program Lead, Cross-Regional and closely with the North America Director and managers in other regions to design and implement an annual set of virtual and in-person offerings. They will also liaise closely with North America alumnae to reimagine the future for this community nationally/regionally and globally. The responsibilities include:
- Develop a regional alumnae strategy and workplan that aligns with and contributes to the cross-regional alumnae strategy.
- Engage hub alumnae to provide input on WomenLift Health’s strategy including the alumnae strategy, engagement with health institutions and contributing to societal change.
- Collaborate with colleagues to seamlessly transition women from the Leadership Journey to join the alumnae community including facilitating in-person sessions during the LiftOff event.
- Build relationships with alumnae and track the progress, opportunities and challenges of the alumnae. Support activities to collect the stories of alumnae.
- Provide support to the alumnae to sustain progress on the implementation of their Leadership Projects by sharing their expertise and exploring continued access to WomenLift’s network and resources during weekly office hours.
- Working with colleagues within the Hub and across regions, co-design and implement a minimum of 4 regional alumnae events per year and 2 cross-regional events, with a mix of in-person and virtual opportunities.
- Encourage alumnae to engage with their sisters within and across regions; Collaborate closely with Alumnae Lead (cross-regional) and managers in other regions to foster and strengthen these relationships.
- Work with the regional and functional communications team to raise the visibility of alumnae including but not limited to the amplification of their publications and speaking engagements and highlighting their professional advancement in the quarterly alumnae newsletter.
- Support the creation, moderation, and engagement of one or more cross-regional Communities of Practice on the WomenLift Health WhatsApp Community.
- Identify and engage with internal and external partners for alumnae events.
- Under the supervision of the North America Director prioritize, manage, and disperse the annual alumnae budget for the hub, working with operational staff to manage contracts with local partners and vendors for events. Work in collaboration with the cross-regional Alumnae Lead to determine the use of the cross-regional alumnae budget.

Position Summary
WomenLift Health is seeking an experienced, innovative, and dynamic individual to manage communications efforts for the North America regional hub which serves women leaders in global health in the United States and Canada. The incumbent will work under the guidance of the North America (NA) Director and in close coordination with NA hub and cross-regional communications teammates. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to think strategically, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with their experience demonstrating the communications judgment/acumen commensurate with the responsibilities of this position. Their primary responsibility will be to generate a tailored communications and engagement strategy for the North America hub in alignment with cross-regional standards and manage day-to-day communications needs. Responsibilities and Tasks
- Lead the development of WomenLift Health’s communications strategy for the North America hub.
- Work with North America and cross-regional communications teammates to operationalize and execute the communications strategy once developed.
- Work closely with the North America Director and hub team to amplify the North America cohort, alumnae community, and senior leaders engaged in Institutional Influence activities.
- Contribute to thought leadership by identifying and crafting compelling stories and disseminating learnings about leadership, gender equality and health relevant to a global health audience.
- Independently and in collaboration with key partners where applicable, organize and coordinate speaker series and other relevant events virtually/in-person that amplify the NA alumnae community, cohort members, and senior leaders in the hub.
- Identify new partners for engaging with the NA alumnae community and contribute to the design and implementation of internal NA alumnae events, trainings, and other offerings.
- Write and facilitate the publication of blogs and op-eds with the aim of raising NA visibility.
- Identify and support opportunities to amplify the voices and visibility of NA alumnae through speaking engagements and media appearances.
- Contribute to content creation for the WomenLift Health website, with regular updates on key milestones, ensuring consistent messaging and fresh material for enhanced engagement.
- Develop and implement strategic communications plan for priority moments; Support content creation for social media platforms for the NA hub Director and teammates who are active on digital platforms.

- 8+ years’ experience in communication for nonprofit, media, academic, or research organizations
- Exceptional writing, editing, and creative management skills, and mastery of key principles for communicating information with accuracy, in ways that non-technical audiences can understand
- Strong aesthetic sense and aptitude for visual and interactive content creation in addition to text-based content
- Familiarity with content creation tools (Adobe suite, Canva, etc.)

Position Summary
WomenLift Health is seeking an innovative and dynamic Development Officer to lead our fundraising efforts. In this newly created role, working closely with the President and in partnership with internal and external stakeholders, the Development Officer will be responsible for executing on and refining strategy for portfolio management to identify, close and steward principal gift (>$1 million) relationships with foundations, corporations, and individuals. They will be responsible for developing and nurturing strong relationships with foundations, community leaders and institutions to advance the mission of WomenLift Health. The successful candidate will be comfortable moving between the strategic and the tactical and excited by the challenges and opportunities of working in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial global organization.
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Lead and implement strategy for securing support from major gift prospects, including foundations, corporations, and individuals.
- Source and develop opportunities to identify and engage donor prospects.
- Develop and implement tools and processes to sustain and scale resource mobilization efforts.
- Develop and monitor fundraising metrics to measure the effectiveness of fundraising efforts and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in fundraising and share knowledge and insights with the team and other stakeholders.
- Represent the organization at fundraising events, conferences, and other networking opportunities.
- Cultivate long-term partnerships and strengthen existing relationships with corporate and foundation donors, as well as other key communities, that will result in funding for the immediate and long-term goals of WomenLift Health.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential donors at the principal gift level. This work will include:
- Developing and implementing a work plan to achieve annual financial targets
- In partnership with the Communications Director, creating and implementing events, communications, campaigns, and other creative programs that elevate visibility with donors and/or partners
- Designing and implementing engagement strategies to introduce prospective supporters to WomenLift Health’s work
- Developing strategies to engage Board members in development activities and unlock Board members’ networks for fundraising purposes, as appropriate
- Actively maintaining donor data and and relationship information within Salesforce
- Educate and involve employees, the board, and other stakeholders in and about fundraising.
Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Ability
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and highly relevant experience required. Master’s degree highly preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of experience, with 4 years of experience as a Development Officer (or similar senior manager level role) with corporate and personal grantors, external advisors and charitable foundations.
- Demonstrated experience planning and successfully implementing a variety of fundraising initiatives, including, but not limited to, major gifts, annual giving, special events, and major campaigns.
- Demonstrated impact in designing and implementing a complex global engagement strategy, including experience measuring impact for partners and funders.
- Thorough knowledge of development work and the impact of various fundraising initiatives on revenue generation, including understanding what motivates people to make financial contributions.
- Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills; ability to interact with a wide variety of professionals, organizations, and individuals in the general public.
- Strong managerial skills, including financial acumen with a ‘results’ orientation.

Salary Range: $70,000 to $110,000
Benefits:

Employees are able to enroll in 401K retirement plan and are eligible for a 3% automatic contribution and up to a 3% employer match on 401K contributions.
