As the Social Marketing Lead at Marie Stopes Kenya, I am redefining reproductive health access through inclusive leadership and innovative sales strategies. My journey exemplifies how women’s leadership drives meaningful change in healthcare delivery.

Leading a dynamic team of 15+ professionals, we have achieved record-breaking milestones—including our highest-ever annual sales—while ensuring reproductive health products reach those who need them most. But beyond the numbers, what truly matters is how we are reshaping the pharmaceutical industry. By intentionally creating opportunities for women in pharmaceutical sales and fostering inclusive decision-making, we are breaking down barriers in a traditionally male-dominated field.

Our work directly impacts women’s health choices. Through initiatives like the groundbreaking Lifeguard Condoms Awareness Roadshow in Central Province and the successful launch of new products such as Avibella Hormonal IUD and Backup Emergency Contraceptive, we are expanding access to family planning options. Most importantly, we are ensuring that women’s voices remain central in how these products are marketed and distributed.

My commitment to gender equity, reinforced by my Master’s in Gender and Development Studies, has taught me that leadership is not just about meeting targets—it is about creating spaces where women can thrive and lead. When women lead in healthcare, we do more than improve business metrics; we transform how healthcare serves our communities.
