I am Dr. Manju Lata Sharma, and I have been working in the field of health for over 24 years, serving in a prestigious organization—WHO. Being recognized on the platform of WomenLift Health Partners is a privilege and an honor. It is incredibly humbling to see my small contributions to children and humanity acknowledged on such a significant platform. I would be grateful for the opportunity to be part of this community, to learn, and to continue serving those in need.
Talking about myself and my work, I am a mother, doctor, academician, mentor, social service provider, and guide. My motto in life is simple: Whatever you receive, you should give back to the community.
My journey began as a pediatrician and adolescent health expert, and later, I joined WHO, where I have been working for the past 24 years as a public health expert. I have always been driven by a deep passion for child and adolescent health, and my work has given me the opportunity to serve communities in maternal and child welfare, community pediatrics, and various public health initiatives. I have had the privilege of serving in multiple capacities across different locations.
On a personal front, COVID-19 was the most challenging time of my life, as I lost my beloved husband. However, as life goes on, I have chosen to continue serving the community—because that is where my heart lies.
……..
A life dedicated to child health, service, and giving back to the community.
