Alistair Lindawson, Program Lead, North America

Alistair brings over ten years of service working in global and public health where she has dedicated her career to creating a healthier, more equitable world. Prior to joining WomenLift Health, Alistair served as the Associate Director for Research Programs at the Stanford Center for Population Health Sciences (PHS) where she curated, managed, and evaluated PHS’ portfolio of sponsored research. Before PHS, she served in multiple capacities as a Senior Program Manager at the University of California San Francisco’s Malaria Elimination Initiative (MEI). While at MEI, Alistair oversaw MEI’s engagement strategy with the Elimination 8 Regional Initiative, an eight-country ministerial-level initiative used for joint planning and accountability towards malaria elimination across southern Africa. In this role, Alistair led the coordination of a multifaceted network of stakeholders including Ministries of Health, WHO, USAID, the Gates Foundation, and Global Fund. In addition to supporting the E8, Alistair led M&E efforts and co-managed operations of the Disease Surveillance and Risk Monitoring Project, an initiative that builds digital tools to support data-based decision making for public health programs across southern Africa. Prior to joining MEI, Alistair served as a Program Assistant for the USAID President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) where she supported PMI Executive Leadership and the Uganda country team, implementing key initiatives and ensuring smooth operations in PMI focus countries. Alistair holds an MA in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from American University in Washington, DC, and a BA in International Studies from the University of California, San Diego. Outside of the office, Alistair is passionate about animal welfare, serving as a volunteer at her local animal shelters, and supporting local community theater.
