Amita Mehrotra is a dedicated global health professional passionate about partnering with communities to achieve their own development outcomes. She currently serves as a Senior Technical Advisor for Capacity Strengthening at FHI 360, supporting the global PEPFAR funded Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) project as well as other projects across the HIV Department. Amita has over 15 years of experience with global HIV programming, first joining FHI 360 in 2007. Throughout her career, she has authored numerous resources focused on capacity strengthening, advocacy, and management of US Government funded programming. Amita earned a bachelor’s degree in Molecular Genetics from The Ohio State University and a Masters degree in Public Health from George Washington University. She currently serves as a co-chair to the technical working group, the Capacity Development Network.
