Angelica Sotomani is a medical doctor and Master’s in Field Epidemiology student, with extensive experience in Public Health. Based in Mozambique, Angelica serves as an assistant researcher at the Sofala Province Delegation of the Mozambique National Public Health Institute.

With a strong focus on strengthening health systems – particularly in areas of non-communicable diseases, climate-sensitive health impacts, and neglected tropical diseases, her strong background in outbreak management, epidemiological surveillance, and operational research speak to her commitment to addressing health challenges faced by vulnerable communities.

Angelica’s passion for leadership and community empowerment are what feed her goal to inspire professional and social growth, for the betterment of society, especially women.
