Dr. Beatrice Paul Mushi is a Public Health Specialist and researcher, working as a Program Manager for the Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences-Ocean Road Cancer Institute-University of California San Francisco (MUHAS-ORCI-UCSF) Cancer Collaboration Program with expertise in research, training, patient advocacy, and capacity building, related to cancer. She is a principal Investigator and Co-Investigator on projects contributing to advocacy and intervention development related to cancer care in Tanzania. She also leads a D43 cancer research training program and facilitates the collaboration that exists with the Ministry of Health, (NCD program).
Dr Beatrice attained her undergraduate medical degree and Master degree in public Health from Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences, Tanzania and is certified in Project Management of Developing projects for Professionals, Crown Agents, London UK. She is also the recipient of the Global Health pilot award, best presenter, and travel award to Uppsala Health Summit, Sweden.
Dr Beatrice believes that having women leaders in decision-making positions and serving as role models is not only critical to the career advancement of women, but essential in generating broader impacts in the health sector. Women leaders are agents of change that benefits both men and women, creating an inclusive and diverse workforce.
Fun Fact: Dr. Mushi loves to watch movies, bake and is addicted to sweets with ice-cream being her downfall. She has a passion for travelling, including sightseeing and taking millions of photos and creating memories with love ones. She is romantic at heart and loves to read romantic novels in flight to an exciting destination
