Beatrice Kamau is an accomplished pharmacist with over a decade of experience in Kenya’s public healthcare system, specializing in pharmaceutical public health, supply chain management, and health systems strengthening. As a Sub-County Pharmacist in Nairobi, she plays a key role in optimizing medication access, improving health data systems, and advocating for equitable healthcare. Previously, as a Pharmacy Manager at a County Referral Hospital, she led quality improvement initiatives, enhanced pharmaceutical services, and contributed to TB, HIV, and maternal health programs.
Committed to capacity building and data-driven decision-making, Beatrice has contributed to research, policy development, and disease surveillance, improving service delivery across various healthcare levels. She holds an MSc in Public Health (Health Systems Management) from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Nairobi. She has received scholarships for specialized training, including pharmaceutical policies at ITM Antwerp and pandemic response by the UK Public Health Rapid Response Team.
A strong advocate for women’s leadership in global health, she believes diverse voices drive equity and innovation. She is also deeply interested in holistic healthcare, a curiosity sparked by her six-week training in acupuncture and moxibustion in China.
