Brigid is a skilled public health practitioner, licensed by the Kenya public health & technicians council, with over 17 years of experience working in the public health field. She has been integral to the successful implementation of numerous donor funded health projects in different capacities, where she has coordinated and led teams in implementing health service delivery, service demand creation and health financing projects to strengthen health systems in the Country.
As the Technical Coordinator for Health at the International Rescue Committee (IRC) Kenya Country Program, Brigid leads the health team and is directly responsible for provision of technical support to the health program for project design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, learning, and ensuring that IRC programs are of high quality driven by evidence and learning. Before joining IRC, Brigid served as a County Cluster project coordinator at the Council of Governors for the Transforming health systems for universal care (World Bank) and DANIDA support for universal health coverage in the devolved system project (Danish Embassy). She was also, a technical lead for two USAID projects, APHIAPLUS Zone1 at PATH Kenya, and Nilinde OVC project at Plan International. She also worked at Knowsolve Consulting Limited providing consultancy services for assignments both in and outside Kenya.
Brigid has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health from Moi University, is a Responsive Project Management fellow of the DANIDA fellowship Centre, Copenhagen, has additional training in Monitoring & Evaluation and Project management in Global health from University of Washington, and is working towards completing her Masters in Public Health at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, School of Public Health.
