Carolyn Achieng’ Aling’ is an obstetrician gynaecologist and global health specialist by training with over 10 years experience in patient care in Kenya and Rwanda. She is a competent and dedicated health profession having worked in fast-paced environments in both public and private health sectors as well as possessing knowledge of health care system development and dissemination.

She has skills in Project Management, Monitoring, and Evaluation with a focus on preventive healthcare, safety, and security of people. She lends her medical expertise to efforts that seek to promote health and well-being for all, especially the marginalized and vulnerable. She is recognised for designing and managing high-impact health research programs and integrating multi-sectoral approaches in the development of sustainable health solutions. Additionally , she is founding member of HEMA foundation in Kenya that works towards menstrual health advocacy and addresses the knowledge gap on sexual and reproductive health needs of adolescent girls.

Her current role at CHAI involves quality assurance in medical education in consultation with stakeholders at the School of Medicine. Carolyn earned her undergraduate and postgraduate medical degrees from The University of Nairobi and her Msc. in Global Health at University of Global Health Equity.
