Carolyn Kamasaka is a highly experienced digital health specialist with over a decade of experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating digital health interventions in Uganda and sub-Saharan Africa. As a Senior Program Officer-Digital Health at PATH Uganda, she plays a pivotal role in shaping implementation of digital health strategies and initiatives within the country. Carolyn collaborates at national and sub-national levels, working closely with the Ministry of Health to develop standard procedures, conduct training, monitor performance, and synthesize insights. Carolyn’s extensive network includes esteemed donors like the Global Fund, USAID, Rockefeller Foundation, WHO, UNICEF, CDC, and the Gates Foundation. Carolyn secures crucial support for digital health projects and excels in cross-border implementation, fostering collaborations with entities like IGAD and HELINA for improved healthcare delivery and data sharing. As the President of the Uganda Health Informatics Association, Carolyn influences the field of health informatics in Uganda and beyond. Her academic background in Information Technology and a Master’s in Health Informatics from Makerere University complements her practical expertise, establishing her as a thought leader in advancing digital health solutions.
