Dr. Cathy Mwangi is the Founder and CEO of mHealth Kenya. She has over 25 years’ experience in business, digital health management, public health, impact evaluations and research in the private and public sector. Dr. Mwangi founded mHealth Kenya to innovate, develop and implement mobile solutions to improve care and treatment in the public and private health in Kenya. She is the Principal Investigator for all the funded projects attracting over USD 6 Million in research grants. Dr. Mwangi has worked for academic and health institutions in both the USA and Kenya. She has been part of the technical experts developing digital health policy documents at national and international level. Dr. Mwangi has won several awards including an Ethical Leadership Award by ELNET 2017, ICT Leadership Award 2015 and ICT Woman of the Year 2014. Under her leadership mHealth Kenya has won a number of awards and is in the final stages of receiving the research licensing from NACOSTI. Dr. Mwangi has a Master in Business Administration, a PhD in Health Administration and currently a PhD Candidate in Health Communication.
