Cynthia Semà Baltazar is a Public Health Specialist with over a decade of experience in strengthening health systems, disease prevention, and capacity building in Mozambique. Currently, serving as the Team Lead for the DISC-Self Injection project at PSI, she is dedicated to empowering women and girls through innovative self-care solutions.
Cynthia has held key roles such as Director of the Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) and Head of the Surveillance Department at the National Institute of Health. Her work focuses on improving health outcomes for vulnerable populations, with a particular emphasis on infectious disease research, including HIV and cholera, and fostering collaborations with national and international organisations.
Outside of her professional commitments, Cynthia has a passion for books, photography, and exploring spirituality, which are what inspire her creativity and sense of purpose.
