Experience
Debbie has 35 years of experience in management, consulting, and coaching. She enjoys coaching leaders to improve their self-awareness, manage conflict, think strategically, and embrace change. A leader with 20 years in the C-Suite herself, Debbie has served as a local government executive, a community college vice president, and as executive director of a non-profit focused on leadership development and community strategic action. In addition, she has almost a decade of service in the private sector in business development and management consulting.
Debbie has served as a lecturer at the School of Public Affairs and Criminal Justice, University of Colorado Colorado Springs teaching strategic management, political advocacy, and grant writing. In her early career, Debbie served as a lobbyist, community and economic development director, where she facilitated contentious community issues to successful resolution.
Debbie has been coaching since 2013 in more than a dozen industries, with a focus on leaders in construction and engineering services, financial services, information technology, health care, manufacturing, and utilities, in addition to coaching public and non-profit sector leaders.
Current Role
Debbie serves as a Leadership Coach in the Leadership Development Program (LDP)®, and Leadership at the Peak and coaches in custom programs for specific clients. In her private consulting and coaching practice, she offers non-profit board governance and facilitation services, strategic plan development, and leadership coaching.
She is adept at coaching leaders transitioning into strategic roles or new careers and those wanting to focus on improving team culture or manage interpersonal conflict better. As a proud introvert, she enjoys coaching introverts to shine in their leadership roles, and she particularly likes to help leaders dig deep to express their values, then apply them to their work in order to achieve their goals.
Educational Background
Debbie holds a Master of Public Affairs from the University of Texas and a BA in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is certified in the FIRO-B and FIRO-Business, Hogan Assessments suite, Influence Style Indicator, Leading Managers 360, Leadership Versatility Index, and the Workplace Big Five.

Debbie has been credentialed as an Associate Certified Coach by the International Coaching Federation and is currently completing her re-credentialing.
