Dr. Doreen Ondo is an Obstetrician / Gynecologist with over twenty years experience of working in the health sector, majorly in the areas of Sexual Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS. She has expertise in development of proposals, training curricula capacity building and in policy development and implementation. She has a demonstrated ability for implementation sciences from reviewing and interpreting program data to inform health service delivery guidelines. She has superior problem-solving ability, adept at root cause analysis, implementing creative and targeted programmatic interventions. She is passionate about young people and women, learning, service delivery and in building capacity.
Doreen’s work experience in the health sector spans from working in hospitals in non-government organizations, and Ministries of Health at the district, national and international level. She has been involved in various roles in clinical care, building the capacity of health workers, public health and consultancy services. She has held technical as well as leadership roles.
She holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB.Ch.B) from Makerere University; Masters of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Makerere University and a Post Graduate Diploma, Project Planning and Management from the Uganda management Institute.
