Dr. Fethia Keder is a qualified medical doctor (MD) and public health expert (MSc in Public Health) with over a decade of experience in program development, research, evaluation, and health system strengthening. She has worked with government, non-governmental, and civil society organizations, managing high-impact health programs and fostering cross-sector partnerships to improve public health outcomes.

Currently, Dr. Fethia serves as a Senior Advisor at Amref Health Africa, supporting the Gates Foundation-funded iHSS Project. She provides technical guidance in leadership, management, governance, and human resources for health. Previously, she held key roles at Population Services International and Ethiopia’s Ministry of Health, overseeing multimillion-dollar programs such as the USAID MULU Key Population Activity.

She holds a Medical Degree from Addis Ababa University and a Master of Public Health (First Class) from the University of East London. A 2017 alumna of the U.S. State Department’s International Visitors Leadership Program, she was also certified in Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights by Lund University in 2023.

Dr. Fethia believes women’s leadership in global health drives inclusive decision-making, equity, and transformative solutions that strengthen health systems.
