Dr. Fridah Mwendia, Clinical Research Manager, Johnson and Johnson - Global Health Equity
Dr. Fridah Mwendia is a clinical researcher with over 10 years of experience in implementing and managing clinical and epidemiology studies. She is an MD and holds a master’s in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She has worked with research institutions, donors, local, and international partners including the Kenya Medical Research Institute where she worked on TB and sickle cell studies as a Research Physician/Investigator. She was a WHO/TDR Clinical Research Fellow in 2018 and was based at GSK Biologicals in Belgium, where she worked on the RTS,S/AS01 (RTS,S) vaccine studies. Fridah is also a founding member of The Clinical Research Society of Kenya, a non-profit organization representing the clinical research fraternity in Kenya, where she aims to foster an environment where female Clinical researchers are encouraged to lead, innovate, and transform.
