Dr. Marjorie Mupandare is a public health leader and humanitarian diplomacy expert with over 20 years of experience working with United Nations agencies, non-governmental organizations, and governments. She currently serves as the Humanitarian Assistance Advisor for the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Afghanistan, where she navigates complex public health challenges and humanitarian crises.

Her career includes eight years with the World Health Organization (WHO), where she led critical public health response interventions across multiple countries, managing emergencies such as COVID-19, Zika, and cholera outbreaks. She has also coordinated responses to complex humanitarian crises and sudden-onset disasters in Africa and Asia, demonstrating her ability to implement effective solutions in high-pressure environments.

Marjorie holds a PhD in Public Health from the University of Hertfordshire, UK, a Master of Public Health from the University of Roehampton, UK, a Master of International Studies from Ewha Women’s University, South Korea, and a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Development Studies from Midlands State University, Zimbabwe.
