Sharmishtha Patil, 48 year old Public health professional, born and brought up in India’s economic capital, Mumbai and at present working in an NGO, in rural area of South Gujarat. Always aimed to work in rural areas and hence chose medicine as career. Gravitated towards Public health during medical college days and completed Diploma in Public Health after graduating MBBS. Joined Gram Seva Trust, a community based organization after working for two years as Medical officer in an Gohil Hospital, Navsari and continued till date i.e almost 19 years as Public health Consultant. Passionate about Women and Child Health and Development. Expertise in Public health training. Implemented and expanded, successfully various community health outreach and training projects in rural and tribal areas of South Gujarat. Was invited in the Trust Board 4 years ago and continued working as a part of Senior Management and Trust Board since then. Continues to upgrade skills through various certified courses and workshops. Believes in Humanity as true religion and seeks personal spiritual development
