Elizabeth Katunga is a Public Health Programme Management professional with 11 years of expertise in implementing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) services. She currently serves as the Service Delivery and Capacity Building Manager for an SRHR programme at Family Health Services (FHS). Throughout her career, she has collaborated closely with Malawi’s Ministry of Health to enhance knowledge, expand access, and improve the quality of integrated SRHR services—particularly in underserved communities, high-poverty areas, and among youth and people with disabilities.

Since joining Family Health Services in 2019 (formerly PSI Malawi), Elizabeth has progressed through various roles, starting as a Reproductive Health Service Delivery Coordinator before being promoted to Capacity Building Manager and later to her current position. She now provides technical guidance and support to eight mobile outreach teams, bringing essential SRHR services to remote and hard-to-reach areas. Prior to FHS, she spent six years with the Ministry of Health of Malawi as a Nursing Officer and Family Planning Coordinator.

She holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Malawi, College of Medicine (now Kamuzu University of Health Sciences) and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Midwifery from the University of Malawi, Kamuzu College of Nursing.

Fun Fact: Elizabeth has remained with the same organization since transitioning from civil service in 2019, steadily advancing into expert-level roles in SRHR.
