Elizabeth Mziray is a Tanzanian national with over 20 years of experience working for the World Bank and IFC. She is a seasoned development professional with experience working in Africa, Asia, Middle East and North Africa, and the Caribbean. She has extensive project management experience including managing IDA and IBRD operations, advisory services and analytics, large multi-regional trust funds and technical assistance programs. Elizabeth has been team leader/co-team leader for Bank health operations focused on improving human capital through investments in maternal and child health, health systems strengthening, health insurance and nutrition. She has led analytical work in areas such as HIV/AIDS, human resources for health, health financing and the use of geospatial and programmatic mapping for improving program planning, implementation, monitoring and supervision. Elizabeth has been an advocate for staff issues as a former delegate for the Staff Association and first co-chair of the HNP GP working group on Staff Engagement Survey Follow-up. Elizabeth has a Masters in International Public Policy from Johns Hopkins University, and a Masters in Public Health from Tulane University. In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, baking, reading, listening to music and gardening.
