Ira Praharaj is a public health microbiologist working on emerging and emerging pathogens of public health importance with a focus on respiratory viruses and arboviruses such as Dengue virus. She has a background in medicine, infectious diseases, clinical microbiology and epidemiology. As a mid-career researcher, she is interested in enabling structural changes towards gender equity in medical research in Indian settings.
