Dr. Rosario (aka Zory) is an organization development expert with over 20 years of experience in the areas of teambuilding, strategic planning, organizational effectiveness, executive skill development, leadership coaching, project management, personality assessment and conflict resolution. Her approach includes connecting with the individuals that comprise an organization in order to understand intrinsic values, improve their overall performance, and help them to become successful. She is an innovative trainer, with an emphasis in design and facilitation targeting employee development. She is also certified as a Competent Communicator by Toastmasters International and Bilingual (English/Spanish).
She has over 12 years of experience in Leadership Development as part of the C-suite involved with several Departments in the County of San Diego serving as a Staff Officer/Temporary Expert Professional in-charge primarily of Organizational Effectiveness and Learning & Development initiatives. Consultant in Organizational Development since 2002. Current Role
Leadership Coach with the Center for Creative Leadership since 2011, and Principal of INTUS Actual Leadership. Professional Certified Coach/PCC by the International Coach Federation as well as Coaching Supervision. Her coaching approach provides positive support and feedback to facilitate a conscious behavioral change of the individual in order to improve their leadership skills. Her method involves awareness of what the client brings to the session, supporting data and evaluating assessment tool results with the intention of moving towards actionable goals. Follow up is provided to assess progress and to encourage achievement of established goals. Engagement and commitment to this process enables the candidate to maximize their potential as a leader in specific areas important to him/her. It will also help them explore unique attributes about themselves to achieve personal and professional growth. As a result, this course of action will help them recognize ways in which they can improve the effectiveness of their organization. Firm believer in Leadership Development Coaching pivoting from training programs alone.
Educational Background
Zory received her PhD. in Industrial Organizational Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology (Alliant University) San Diego Campus, an MA. in Organizational Development from the Caribbean Center for Advanced Studies in Old San Juan Puerto Rico, and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico. She also studied English at the Oxford Institute of Languages in Oxford, England. She was trained as an Executive Coach in the Center for Creative Leadership, La Jolla Campus. She is a certified provider of 360-degree leadership profiles from CCL. She is also MBTI Certified. The National Conflict Resolution Center in San Diego qualified her with strategies for managing conflict in the workplace as well as advance mediation skills. She is Certified in The Organizational Workshop with Power + Systems, helping organizations accelerate the impact of their leadership and organizational development initiatives by empowering partnerships among systems. She is certified in Negotiation Skills from Harvard University Division of Continuing Education. Her dissertation was about self-serving bias and absence culture in the perceptions of absenteeism by employees and managers in Maquiladoras in Mexico. Certified in Coaching Supervision by Goldvarg Consulting Group in 2020.
Professional Affiliations
She is affiliated with the Ricky Martin Foundation – An international organization that works towards the elimination of child trafficking as well as the exploitation of minors. She firmly believes in a holistic approach to life. She is passionate about finding balance in existence by tuning into spiritual, physical, mental and emotional energy. She is very interested in protecting the environment and anything related to sustainability, green and eco-friendly to leave a healthy world for future generations. Her involvement in the local community includes feeding the homeless once a month. She leads a community outreach group through church, offered weekly. Her hobbies are Pilates, reading and walking.
