Kajal has done her masters in Philosophy in Social Sciences and another one in social work. She is associated with MASUM since 2009 and grew up as a leader with a feminist perspective. She has led a participatory, multi-stakeholder process to promote accountability and responsiveness of public health services and coordinated its health and SRHRs programme. Collective Impact Partnership- a leadership fellowship programme was a significant milestone in her leadership journey. She also coordinates biannual state level conferences and a women’s health rights process in Maharashtra. For the last 16 years, she has been part of Jan Swasthya and contributed at the state and national levels to people’s right to comprehensive, universal health care in general, and women’s reproductive rights in particular. Kajal had the opportunity to work with UNF’s 3D Program for Girls and Women and provided strategic inputs to its rural program in Pune.
