Lilian Kapinga is a seasoned public health and development expert with over 15 years of experience in sexual and reproductive health, adolescent well-being, and gender advocacy. She currently serves as the FP-ASRHR Advisor and Team Lead for the Connect Project at Save the Children, where she drives scalable postpartum family planning solutions.

Previously, Lilian managed SRHR and youth empowerment programs at Restless Development and YWCA, leading strategic planning, implementation, and donor engagement. Her expertise includes policy advocacy, capacity building, and community-based interventions, contributing to improved health outcomes and gender equality in Tanzania.

She holds a Master of Science in Public Health (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam), a Master of Arts in Development Studies (University of Dar es Salaam), and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences (Sokoine University). Lilian was awarded the prestigious Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship for her academic excellence and contributions to development.

Fun fact: She’s a great listener when giving advice to others—but when it comes to taking her own advice on self-care and self-love, she somehow goes deaf!
