Experience
With extensive experience as a quantitative and qualitative research consultant, Linda Longwe served the advertising industry before beginning her extensive coaching career. Today she provides professional and personal leadership development training through her company, Linda Longwe International, registered in Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
Current Role
An internationally certified master coach, trainer, and speaker, Linda specializes in transformational leadership, entrepreneurship, emotional intelligence, and mental wellbeing. She is also a seasoned strategy and team building facilitator, having worked with clients such as Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Unite, Gyproc, JTI Malawi, the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), the World Bank, and the Reserve Bank of Malawi.
Linda runs The Flourish Mental Wealth Programme, providing mental fitness training to the private sector, government, and developmental agencies. As a sought-after speaker at conferences, she has had multiple appearances at the Women in Leadership Conference in Malawi. Linda has chaired notable events such as the Pan African Learning and Growth Network’s “Women of Substance Awards” (WOSA) and the Women in Management and Leadership Conference. She also presents to public schools, churches, and community groups as part of her commitment to giving back to society. Linda maintains her practice out of Zimbabwe, serving clients throughout southern Africa and beyond.
Educational Background
Having completed a Doctoral Research Training Programme (PGC) Certificate from the University of Stellenbosch, Linda is a PhD candidate at Unicaf University, focusing on Women Enterprise, Social Media Marketing, and Leadership. Linda also holds an MBA from Nottingham Trent University, a Post Graduate Marketing Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing UK, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Economics from the University of South Africa.
Professional Affiliations
With numerous coaching credentials (including Certified Master, Professional, and Group Life Coach), Linda also earned a Diploma of Professional Study in Positive Psychology. Linda is a member of several boards, including the Start Up and Scale-Up Foundation, the Cancer Association of Zimbabwe, and the Zimbabwe Brain Tumour Association. She has served on the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce National Executive Committee and is a founding trustee of the Women Owned Business Trust, which supports women-owned enterprises. Linda is also the founder of Ethics in Enterprise Africa, a social media initiative promoting ethics in business. She is recognized for her contributions to the community, having received numerous awards, including Outstanding Rotary Assistant District Governor of the Year and multiple Paul Harris Awards from Rotary International.
