2023 Leadership Journey Project: WMen Leading Change: Building Opportunities and Leadership Capacity for Women in the Workplace
Dr. Maimunat Alex-Adeomi is a primary care physician and global health expert with over 16 years experience in strategic planning, program management, service delivery, systems strengthening, knowledge and people management. She currently she leads the global newborn health and global health education portfolios at the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Prior experiences span organizations like Operation Smile Inc., Sanford World Clinics Ghana, and Global Health Delivery project. Dr. Alex-Adeomi’s passion and expertise in promoting quality of care for underserved populations have seen her work to improve health indices, build capacity of health workers and strengthen health systems in over 40 countries across 5 continents.
