Manisha is the health Officer with UNICEF, Rajasthan. Born in a small village in Punjab, India as the third child in her family, she became aware of the gendered realities early in life, owing to the cultural norms and expectations prevalant. Manisha has constantly strived to break free from the shackles of gender roles and social norms prevalent around her. She has been persevering and successful in creating a life that she wants, for herself. With over 18 years of work experience in the development sector, Manisha has expertise in programme planning, implementaton, monitoring, communicaton, evaluaton, training, research, and advocacy. She has completed her medical education from SMS Jaipur and has worked with various UN agencies, CARE India and IIHMR Jaipur.
