Melissa T Ojemeni RN, PhD, is the Deputy Chief Nursing Officer at Partners In Health. In her role, she provides strategic oversight and leadership to strengthen nursing and midwifery practice in eight countries across Latin America, the Caribbean, East, West and Southern Africa. She has over 15 years of clinical bedside nursing and teaching experience in the United States and internationally. Dr. Ojemeni has consulted with both non-profit and educational institutions to advance the nursing profession through her collaborative research, strategic planning, program and project management skills focused on nursing education and leadership capacity building. Dr. Ojemeni has held adjunct faculty appointments teaching undergraduate nursing students in clinical, classroom and simulation lab settings. Her research has focused on nursing leadership and human resources for health capacity building.
