2022 Leadership Journey Project: Empowering rural Women leaders
Namita is currently working as an Associate Director with the Social and Economic Empowerment practice of IPE Global Limited. She leads a transformative program that aims to improve undernutrition in the most vulnerable tribal districts in Rajasthan in India by supporting the Government in designing and implementing innovative nutrition programs. She is also involved in providing cross-cutting technology input across the Social and Economic Empowerment practice.
Namita has worked extensively in health, nutrition and livelihood and has successfully leveraged technology in delivering solutions in these domains. Before working with IPE Global Limited, in her previous assignment, she led the digital enablement of Neighbourhood Health Clinics under a world-renowned program to improve urban primary healthcare. The work also included identifying, customising, and piloting several point-of-care innovations that would enhance the quality of last-mile care delivery. Namita has also led the implementation of an e-initiative to provide transparency and better control both to end beneficiaries and officials for interventions implemented under the aegis of a State Livelihood Mission. She led the design of an Integrated Performance Management System for efficient delivery of services by rural community service delivery centres (Aanganwadi’s) in Bihar. She has worked on projects providing support to private health care providers to leverage technology and innovations for improved reach and affordability. In primary education, she worked with a non-profit organisation of world repute, supporting their operations, research, and learning.
Namita earned her bachelor’s in computer science engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Allahabad and is currently pursuing an Advanced Management Program in Public Policy from the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad.
