Experience
After nearly a decade working in international development and finance, supporting NGOs and the United Nations, Nankhonde Kasonde-van den Broek returned to Zambia to contribute to her country’s economy and the wider African development agenda. With more than 20 years of experience, she has supported multinationals, international organizations, and governments across multiple sectors, designing and leading large-scale organizational change initiatives.

Current Role
Channeling her wealth of African, international, and multicultural experience, Nankhonde helped pioneer the use of technology that supports accessible and culturally relevant coaching and human capital development solutions for Africa. An executive coach and organizational change architect, Nankhonde is the founder and CEO of ZANGA African Metrics, where she creates leadership development solutions in the context of Africa’s diverse cultural dimensions and emerging markets. Her work is built from African comparison groups, generating valuable data for decision-making. She is also a member of the Adjunct Faculty and Expert Network at the Chandler Institute of Governance in Singapore. Furthermore, she serves as faculty for the Leadership for Health Transformation Programme with the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for Africa.

Educational Background
Nankhonde earned an Executive Specialized Master of Science degree in Change Leadership, conferred jointly by HEC Paris Business School and Oxford University. She also has an MBA from the African Institute of Management (Dakar, Senegal), a Master of Science in Management from the University of Quebec at Chicoutimi, and a Bachelor of Arts in Management from Webster University (Geneva, Switzerland).

Professional Affiliations
Nankhonde holds a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) certificate from the International Coaching Federation (ICF). She received the Thinkers50 Marshall Goldsmith Coaching and Mentoring Award, and has been recognized as a Coaching Legend by Thinkers50. She is a member of the Africa List, Marshall Goldsmith’s MG100, and has been honored by Global Guru as one of the World’s Top 30 Coaches to Watch. She serves as board member with Sanlam Allianz Zambia, the Lusaka Apex Medical University in Zambia, and Management Sciences for Health Global Board in the USA.
