Development sector was always my calling as far as I can remember. While growing up I wasn’t aware that institutions providing specialised degrees to work in the development sector existed. I was pleased to hear about TISS. I have always found great amount of satisfaction in use of processes and methods leading to understanding the limitations, and capabilities of a community. I believe that with clear and in-depth understanding of cause of a problem it is possible to pave way to empower community. I have worked on themes such as microfinance, livelihood, natural resource management, and public health. In my career of 16 years I have worked with local & iNGOs, government bodies, and as an independent consultant. In my current role I work with the Strategic Partnerships team of Piramal Foundation. The job entails managing domestic and international donors supporting pan India operations in field of health, education, sustainability, and water.
