2023 Leadership Journey Project: Development of Anganwadi Centres as Centres of Change (CoC) by Women Sarpanch(s) as Change Drivers
Priyanka Sharma got to lead the state operations of an international NGO very early on in her career, further emboldened by leading ‘pilot to scale’ assignments with The World Bank, UNICEF and IPE Global. However, she strongly believes that there are numerous other women across the spectrum, especially in rural India, who also possess similar inherent natural leadership traits. Unlike herself, who was privileged, the majority of them are constrained socially, financially and education-wise.
With a strong social inclination, she chose to decline a Software Engineer’s job at L&T Infotech to pursue a Masters in Social Work from TISS, Mumbai. With this unique combination, she has brought in a technocratic approach to development solutions in the last 15 years as a development professional. She currently leads the State PMU in Rajasthan for KPMG India.
When not working, she loves to drive long distances, listen to music, experiment with cuisines and explore new endeavours.
