I have had the unique privilege of completing my undergraduate, postgraduate and superspecialist training from the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Pondicherry, an Institute of National Importance. I continue to serve my alma mater in the capacity of faculty of Neurology. My work involves providing care to people with a wide variety of neurological illnesses, particularly those with epilepsy. I am involved in teaching of residents in super specialty and specialty training. I am also the course coordinator for an undergraduate course in neurotechnology. I guide and mentor trainees across all these levels. I have trained in epidemiology and worked in primary care research work in Canada. My focus of research currently is at the intersection of health hare provision and equity of access for persons with epilepsy. I am interested in understanding the utility of alternate systems of care provision like telemedicine, peer support etc and building these into current health care framework.
